CIC – Investment Platform for Cambodian Entrepreneurs


In long-term, CIC can be transformed into a venture capital or fund management company 
  • To be registered as a business association under the Ministry of Commerce
  • To be managed by an Executive Manager  and governed by a Board of Directors
  • The contribution of US$1,000 by the first 100 investors will serve as the seed capital for the operations of CIC as well as the investments for future investment projects generated and recommended by CIC’s Board of Directors

Board of Directors


The CIC’s Board of Directors will consist of 13 highly experienced professionals and entrepreneurs with different skill sets.

The BoD will be responsible for:
  • Setting the vision and the mission of CIC
  • Representing the interests of the investors/members
  • Overseeing general operations and guiding the Executive Manager and his/her management team
  • Overseeing corporate governance of the CIC and the investment companies/projects

Investment Committee & Other Committees


The Investment Committee be selected from the Board with relevant investment experience and it is charged with the responsibility of selecting the investment projects to the Board for considering

The other Board Committees will be set up as/when needed. The committees can be a Sector-Specific Committee or Project-Specific Committee

Executive Manager and the Management Team


EM is a full-time position managing day-to-day business operations of CIC and is responsible to the Board of Directors

Mr. Lem Chansamrach is the Executive Manager of CIC. Samrach has been managing and coordinating a social investment fund from Japan in Cambodia and he poses a Master Degree in SME Management and International Business from France
